We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your CoHabby account and what happens to your data when you do.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your public profile, listings, photos, quiz results, matches, Synergy data, and account credentials are permanently removed. Your identity is removed from existing conversations; message history may remain available to the other participant and for safety or legal obligations.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly in the CoHabby app:
Open Settings
Tap the profile icon, then tap the settings gear in the top right corner.
Go to Account Settings
Scroll down and tap "Account" or "Account Settings".
Delete Account
Tap "Delete Account" and complete both confirmations. If your session is old, verify with the password, Google, or Apple account already linked to CoHabby.
Confirmation
The app shows a deletion receipt. Your public profile is hidden first; secure cleanup then completes automatically, including any required retries.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, enter the email address on your CoHabby account. We will send a short-lived verification link to that address.

contact@cohabby.comEmail support remains available for accounts that use an Apple private-relay address, have changed email, or need help identifying duplicate accounts. We will verify ownership before changing profile visibility or starting deletion.
What happens to your data
Most account data is permanently removed. A few limited records are redacted or retained as described below:

Deletion and limited retention
After you request deletion:
- Your public profile and listings are hidden as the first workflow step
- CoHabby-owned profile, discovery, listing, quiz, Synergy, media, and account data is removed by the secure deletion workflow
- Existing conversations are identity-redacted; limited message, safety, legal, billing-provider, backup, and deletion-proof records may be retained where necessary
- A minimal non-public deletion record remains so later billing events cannot restore access to the deleted account
Active Subscriptions
Deleting your CoHabby account does not necessarily cancel billing managed by Apple, Google Play, Stripe, or another provider. Before deletion:
- Cancel the subscription in the App Store, Google Play, or the billing portal where you purchased it
- Understand that account deletion hides and removes your listings, but does not itself promise a provider refund
- Contact contact@cohabby.com if you cannot identify the billing provider
The deletion workflow records a billing tombstone so later provider events cannot restore CoHabby access for the deleted account.
